Privacy Policy

2KM for iOS  ·  Effective July 11, 2026

The short version: 2KM has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of ours. Your health data never leaves your device or your personal iCloud. The only thing we ever see is anonymous, aggregated usage analytics — never anything that identifies you.

Who we are

2KM is a daily walking habit app for iPhone. This policy explains what data the app touches, where it lives, and what (very little) we can see. If anything here is unclear, contact us at vchawla26@gmail.com.

What we do not collect

Health data (Apple Health)

With your permission, 2KM reads your walking and running distance from Apple Health (HealthKit) to show your progress toward your daily goal. This data is:

You can revoke Health access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health.

iCloud sync

Your streak history and app settings sync between your devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account, under Apple's security and privacy terms. We have no server and no access to it. You can disable iCloud for 2KM in your device's iCloud settings.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No push-notification server is involved and nothing is transmitted.

Purchases

The optional premium upgrade is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Receipt validation happens on your device via Apple's StoreKit.

Anonymous analytics (TelemetryDeck)

To understand which features are used and to improve the app, 2KM uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service built for GDPR compliance and operated from the European Union.

Because this data is anonymous, it is not personal data under the GDPR. To the extent any processing is in scope, our legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding and improving the app. You can read TelemetryDeck's privacy policy at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.

Data retention and deletion

Your data lives on your device and in your iCloud account, both fully under your control. Deleting the app removes its on-device data; you can clear iCloud data via iCloud settings. Since analytics are anonymous, there is no stored record we could tie back to you to delete.

Children

2KM does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children. There are no accounts and no personal data collection of any kind.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is typically nothing for us to act on — but you can always contact us with questions or complaints, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
